Pepper Steak Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 pound flank steak, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, deveined and deseeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup texmati organic rice (dry)

Directions

  1. Prepare rice by direction
  2. Mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, pepper, and cornstarch in a bowl. Place flank steak in the sauce and let marinate.
  3. Meanwhile heat oil over medium heat. Add steak and cook until brown, about 3 minutes.
  4. Add onion, garlic, and peppers and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Add marinade to the pan and cook for 3 minutes more.
  6. Serve over rice.
