CHEAT MEAL ALERT!!!

During Snowpacalypse 2017, Viking wanted to make her family recipe for cheat day. The Rosten family recipe is meat and potatoes….a true meal for Vikings. And guess what, even thought it’s a “cheat day” meal, it’s sooo tasty, and you can get a lower fat piece of meat to lower the calorie intake.

INGREDIENTS

    • 2 to 3 lbs flank steak or cubed stew meat
    • 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom
    • 2 cans beef consume
    • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
    • Mashed potatoes

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees
  2. Cube steak into 1/2 inch pieces
  3. Salt and pepper to taste
  4. Spread evenly into large baking dish
  5. Cover evenly with beef consume and cream of mushroom (more equals more gravy, less equals less)
  6. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix on top evenly
  7. Bake in oven for 2-3 hours until meat is done and gravy bubbling
  8. Put mixture on top of mash potatoes
